When things were rough
You told me to stay tough
To go with the flow of the waves
And that soon i will come to a calm place
I was hesitant at first
Cuz I had given up all hope
Of ever getting up again
But you pushed me up front
Through the bitter and sweet words
You helped me to cope
what i couldn't face before
And to go forward with a firm foot

You saw things in me
That I wanted others to see
But couldn't see
Even though they were right in front of me

Your words of courage
Have made me stronger
Every minute of the day
Of my new chapter in life
Never have I been more grateful to God
For he has really opened my eyes
to see my true friends
Who really do love and care for me very much

I don't know how I can ever repay each and everyone of you
for being a pillar of strength, courage, hope and happiness in my life
